Austria
Austria is my adopted home, so you’ll find that a lot of my ebiking is done here. I have ebiked all over this beautiful country, and every year we find something new to explore here.
This country is so diverse, from the Alps in the west to the vineyards in the east, and so much more in between. Most people are familiar with our beautiful cities such as Vienna, Salzburg, and Innsbruck. However, outside of the cities, a vast array of spectacular landscapes awaits to be experienced.

Cycling routes and Climate
Austria has invested heavily in their cycling routes and paths, resulting in excellent surfaces and clear signage. Many of the routes pass through areas of interest and famous sights. You will find plenty of places to grab a bite to eat, charge your battery and get a drink. There are numerous routes to choose from, such as the Danube, Enns, Drau, Inn, Alpe-Adria, Salzkammergut, and Mozart routes. Take a look at my Austria Smile Tour to give you an idea of just some of them.
Our climate is normally cold and snowy in winter, with warm and sometimes wet summers. We can experience stretches of really hot weather, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. We can also experience bouts of rain to wash our mountains and keep everything beautiful and green.
Infrastructure
Walking and cycling play a central role in summer tourism, as more people seek holidays that combine activity with sightseeing. Fortunately, Austria offers excellent infrastructure, and its network of bike paths crisscrosses the country. Signposting is excellent, making it easy to explore scenic areas and discover points of interest along the way.
The scenery really does look as spectacular as it does on the postcards. Take a look at my website, which features numerous photos from Austria. Once you have sampled the delights of our beautiful country, you will make it a regular on your holiday calendar each year.
