Austria
As my adopted home, you will find a lot of my ebiking is done in Austria. I have ebiked all over this beautiful country and every year we find something new to explore here.
This country is so diverse, from the Alps in the west to the vineyards in the east and so much more in between. Most people have heard of our beautiful cities like Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck; however, outside of the cities, there is a vast array of spectacular landscapes just waiting to be experienced.
Cycling routes and Climate
The cycling routes in Austria have been heavily invested in over the years which means there are great surfaces and clear signage. Along the routes, you will find plenty of places to get a bite to eat as well as sights to see. There are so many routes to choose from – Danube, Enns, Drau, Inn, Alpe-Adria, Salzkammergut and Mozart are just to name a few. Take a look at my Austria Smile Tour to give you an idea of just some of them. Any questions then please let me know – office@ebike-europe.com
Our climate is normally cold and snowy in winter with warm and sometimes wet summers. We can get stretches of really hot weather of over 30 degrees but conversely, we can get bouts of rain to give our mountains a wash and keep everything beautiful and green.
Infrastructure
Walking and cycling is very much at the heart of tourism in the summer with a lot of people looking for an alternative holiday which combines activity and sightseeing. Our infrastructure is well developed with a network of bike paths zigzagging across the country. All with good signposting for the various routes which pass through areas with sights worth seeing.
The scenery really does look as spectacular it does on the postcards. Just take a look at my website which is full of photos from Austria. Once you have sampled the delights of our beautiful country, you will make it a regular on your holiday calendar each year.
