Italy
We visit Italy yearly because it is so close to our home in Austria. We have cycled as far down as Umbria but not any further south than that. Generally, we will go to Tuscany in late September or early October as the weather is still good and there are fewer people around.
The Italians love their cycling and take it very seriously, being known for a lot of road biking, and you will see a lot of them everywhere you go on the roads. For mountain bikers and ebikers, there are plenty of off-road tracks to take and see some incredible parts of Italy. Just be aware that signage and routes are minimal, so we use local maps to make up our own.
Whether you choose a destination like Tuscany or a flatter area like Veneto, there is plenty of cycling for all levels. There are very few specific cycling tracks, especially in Tuscany; however, you will find enough routes to keep you going in a different direction for days. I would suggest having a bike map app like Komoot in order to find the most interesting days out.
