Things to do around Lake Bled
Lake Bled – This iconic lake is easily recognisable and has been photographed millions of times from all angles. It is easy to see why the lake and the surrounding area so enthral people. I have visited this area many times for work and leisure, and every time I visit, I find something new. We went on a walking & cycling holiday, and as always, we found areas we haven’t been to. I always urge people to visit Slovenia; I feel it is unique, and there is so much to see. They call it “little Europe” as you go from the Alps to the Adriatic in a matter of 2 hours, and in between, there is a wealth of history, sights, cities and spectacular scenery.
The Lake
The walking path is 6km alongside the Lake, is relatively flat and gives you various views of Bled Castle, the Island and Bled Town. It’s a busy place in the height of the summer, so I would recommend visiting in May, June or September. This way, you can avoid the crowds and really enjoy this area.
